After the disappointing postseason the the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets had, that featured them losing to Ole Miss in the regional round of the NCAA Tournament, fans of the team were wondering how the Yellow Jackets would respond, especially without former head coach Danny Hall, and the fans got their answer quick, as new head coach James Ramsay has hit the transfer portal.

Ramsay was able to land one of the top power hitters in the transfer portal, as former Pittsburgh third baseman Ryan Zuckerman announced his commitment to the Yellow Jackets. Zuckerman established himself as a true threat at the plate this season, as he knocked 13 home runs and drove in 48 RBIs, both of which led the Panthers in their categories.

Zuckerman was without a doubt the best hitter on a Panthers team that struggled offensively all season, as they finish 28-27, and was knocked out of the ACC Tournament in the second round by the Duke Blue Devils.

Zuckerman was just one of three players to play and start in all 55 games for the Panthers last season, and finished third in batting average among all players that played at least 55 games, batting .295 last season.

The question becomes if Zuckerman will outright be the Yellow Jackets third baseman when the season starts, or if he will split time with Connor Shouse. If Zuckerman takes his spot, it could mean the Shouse will return to the mound for the Yellow Jackets for next season.
