Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets head coach James Ramsey has been a man on a mission this offseason, as he has looked to the transfer portal to replace some of the gaps heading into the 2025 season, which could be done quite easily, as the Yellow Jackets will bring a ton of production back. Ramsey added another name to the list of 2025 Yellow Jackets as he is bringing in former Georgia Bulldogs third baseman Cade Brown.

Brown saw action in 15 games last season in Athens with the Bulldogs, and his numbers were not off the charts to say the least, as he batted .171 and had just one home run. Brown started five games for the Bulldogs last season. However, that does not mean things can not turn around for the sophomore.

Brown was the No.1 rated third baseman in the state of Georgia according to Perfect Game in the 2024 recruiting cycle, and won MaxPreps Player of the Year in 2024. Brown's high school career should give the Yellow Jackets fans hope that he will tap into that talent pool during his time with the team.

The addition of Brown creates a little bit of a dilemma for Ramsey, as he has also signed former Pittsburgh Panther third baseman Ryan Zuckerman, who would presumably be the starter when the season begins.

The addition of Brown starts what could be a huge offseason for Ramsey and the Yellow Jackets, as he will be far from done in the transfer portal.
