The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets baseball team has been a spectacle to watch this season, with the team going from not making the D1Baseball.com's Preseason Top 25, to a team that could legitimately contend for a World Series berth, all within the first half of the season.

The Yellow Jackets offense has been among the best in the entire country this season, as they lead the country in doubles and currently sit at second in the country in batting average and hits this season.

But it does not stop there, as they also boast one of the best pitching staffs in the country as well, as they rank in the top 20 in the nation in earned run average, sitting at 3.93. Pitchers Mason Patel, Tate McKee, Brady Jones, and Caden Spivey have been bright spots in the rotation, with the group combining for a 20-1 record this season.

A lot of the success from the team also comes from a young roster that has stepped up to every occasion that they have had, including Alex Hernandez, who has nine home runs and is batting .325 as a freshman. Another freshman that is making a difference for the Yellow Jackets is Chase Daniel, who has two triples and 21 RBIs this season.

With the Yellow Jackets season going the way that it is, they could be looking at being one of the top three teams in the ACC this season, and a huge leap for the team from last season.
