The end of the college baseball season has been fast approaching for a while now, and teams will look for this final weekend to make some noise and gain momentum heading into their conference championships. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are no different, and they have perhaps their biggest series of the season starting tonight, as they take on the No.20 ranked Duke Blue Devils for the final series of the regular season.

Heading into the series, the Yellow Jackets sit just half of a game behind the Florida State Seminoles and are tied with the NC State Wolfpack for second place in the conference. Duke is sitting just one game behind the Yellow Jackets in fifth place in the conference.

The Yellow Jackets head into the series on somewhat of a hot streak, as they have won eight of their last nine games, including an impressive outing last weekend against the Louisville Cardinals, where they won two of three games against the then-No.20 ranked team in the country.

The pitching for the Yellow Jackets has been on fire recently, as they have allowed less than five runs in seven of the teams last nine games, including a performance in the doubleheader against the Cardinals last weekend, which seen the pitching staff allow just two hits combined in both games.

Starting pitch tonight for the contest is set at 6pm Eastern time, with Tate McKee taking the mound for the Yellow Jackets, while Owen Proksch will get the start for the Blue Devils.
