The 2025 Emerald Classic Basketball Tournament has announced the four teams that will compete in the invitational for the 2025 tournament, with one of the four teams being none other than the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

The Yellow Jackets will face off against the DePaul Blue Demons, with both teams making their first appearance in the tournament since its inaugural tournament in 2014.

The tournament will feature two other teams: the LSU Tigers and the Drake Bulldogs. The Tigers are the only team in the field that have competed in the tournament in the past, when they claimed the championship in 2021.

Two of the four teams made the NCAA Tournament last season: the Drake Bulldogs and the DePaul Blue Demons.

The tournament will feature semifinal contests between the Yellow Jackets and the Blue Demons, while the Tigers will take on the Bulldogs. The winner of each of those games will face for the championship game, while the losers will face off in the third-place game.

The tournament will take place on Nov. 28 and 29, where all four teams will make their way to Destin, Florida for the weekend.

The invitational should be a good opportunity for the Yellow Jackets to see exactly what their strengths and weaknesses are as a team early in the season, as they will still be feeling the team out and watching for players that can make an impact in a game that they can use for minutes as they approach the bulk of their conference schedule.
