The Spring transfer portal for college basketball is winding down, and teams are still looking for last minute additions to their teams, and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are no different, as they have gone into the transfer portal for the fourth time this offseason to bring in a player, this time it is Cas Kelley III.

Kelley comes to the Yellow Jackets during a time where Yellow Jackets head coach Damon Stoudamire is looking for someone to fill a huge hole left in the guard position after the departure of both Naithan George and Lance Terry.

Kelley has spent the last three season with the Boston College Eagles, where he has appeared in a total of 88 games in his college career. Kelley has perhaps his best season last season, as he averaged a career high 4.4 points.

While Kelley has, for a large part of his college career, been unproductive at times, it is mainly due to his low number of minutes per game throughout his career with the Eagles. Kelley averaged a career high 18.8 minutes per game last season, so he ad some time to make the most of his opportunities, but they were limited.

Kelley will undoubtedly see an increase in minutes with the Yellow Jackets this season, as he will be one of four players fighting for playing time at the guard spot, being split between Kelley, Kam Craft, Lamar Washington, and Kowacie Reeves Jr.

Kelley will have one year of eligibility left for the Yellow Jackets.
