With the transfer portal in full swing now, teams are looking for major contributors for next season, and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and head coach Damon Stoudamire wasted no time making a huge splash in the portal, as he was able to sign Peyton Marshall from the Missouri Tigers.

Marshall comes to the Yellow Jackets with one season of experience from the Tigers, and a season that did not go the way that Marshall had planned, watching the game a lot more than being on the court participating in it. Marshall was limited to just 4.4 minutes per game in his freshman season.

It will be a homecoming for Marshall, as he is an Atlanta, Georgia native, where he was able to lead his high school, Kell High School, to a state championship in the 2023 season.

At 7', Marshall can and probably will be paired with Baye Ndongo next season, creating a frontcourt for the Yellow Jackets that could be a problem within the ACC. Ndongo is coming off a great second half to the season last year, and to continue that momentum, the Yellow Jackets will need to bring in a wingman for Ndongo.

Marshall was rated as high as the No.69 overall recruit in the 2024 recruiting cycle. Marshall seen action in 22 games for the Tigers last season.

The forward/center position is a big need for Stoudamire and the Yellow Jackets, so picking up Marshall will be something that is needed on both sides of the transfer.
