The transfer portal for the college basketball season has been underway since the NCAA Tournament started, and while some key name players such as Donavon Dent, Ian Jackson, and Bennett Stirtz have already decided where they would be transferring to, there is still talent left in the transfer portal that could see crucial players have huge impacts on teams that they go to. One of those players that the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets should look at is point guard Jamarii Thomas.

Thomas has spent the last four season bouncing around teams, playing two seasons with the UNC Wilmingoton Seahawks, then transferring to the Norfolk State Spartans, then transferring after one season to the South Carolina Gamecocks, before entering the portal this offseason. Thomas' best two season came when he was with the Spartans, where he averaged 16.9 points per game and the Gamecocks, where he averaged 13.2 points per game.

However, the biggest reason why I think that the Yellow Jackets should go all in on Thomas is because of his experience, as they had Naithan George transfer in the offseason and Lance Terry graduate, leaving a massive hole at the guard spots in the starting five.

You want your point guard to be the catalyst of your offense, and Thomas can do that, as he has proven to be a decent scorer, and a great playmaker when given the opportunity. Thomas needs a team to shine for his final college season, and the Yellow Jackets desperately need a guard that can lead, so this seems like something that everyone involved will love in the end.
