The college basketball Spring transfer window is in full swing, and teams are looking to add players to their roster that they feel will help the team this upcoming season. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are one of those teams still adding talent, as they have added yet another transfer during the Spring transfer window, as forward Peyton Marshall has signed with the Yellow Jackets.
Marshall has only played one collegiate season, suiting up for the Missouri Tigers last season. Marshall would not see the court much though, as he only averaged 4.4 minutes per game in his lone season with the Tigers.
Marshall was a four-star recruit for the Tigers in last year’s recruiting class, gaining prominence in high school mainly due to his size, as he stands at seven-foot and 300-pounds. This size makes Marshall and interior presence both on the offensive and defensive side of the court.
“Peyton gives us a physical presence,” said Stoudamire. “His ability to set screens and pass the ball are elite. In limited minutes last year, his impact was felt. We look forward to his continued development as he, Baye (Ndongo), Mo (Sylla), and Cole (Kirouac) give us lots combinations to play along our frontline.”
Marshall will be paired with junior Baye Ndongo and incoming freshman Mouhamed Sylla for the front court of the Yellow Jackets next season after the departure of Duncan Powell in the offseason left the team looking for another prominent big man.
Marshall joins a transfer class that also includes Kam Craft and Lamar Washington.
