Recruiting has been rampant for the class of 2026 this month, and The Flats at Georgia Tech is no different, as head coach Brent Key has the Yellow Jackets set up for long term success with an already deep 2026 recruiting class, and Key added to that class today as he got a commitment from wide receiver Kentrell Davis.

Davis has spent his high school years playing for the Parker Thundering Herd, where he won the 6A AHSAA State Championship after the Thundering Herd defeated the Saraland Spartans 28-17.

Davis stands at six-foot-three and weighs 170 pounds, and will assuredly be a huge target (both figuratively and literally) for Aaron Philo next season if the Yellow Jackets hand the keys of the offense over to him.

The three star recruit from Birmingham, AL. is a huge get for Key and the offense of the Yellow Jackets moving forward, as he will be one of the top prospects in a crowded receiver room next season that will be looking for a guy that can step up and make plays.

The signing marks the fourth wide receiver that Key has landed in the 2026 class, joining Isaac Obrokta, and a duo of receiver from the Rome Wolves in Darnell Collins and Jeremy Winston. These signings let fans know what posiotion Key is valuing the most in 2026, and it seems to be the wide receiver position, as the Yellow Jackets have landed 15 total recruits for the class of 2026, and five have been receivers.
