The ACC has season their fair share of players transferring into the conference this offseason, and much can be said about each school's ability to acquire transfers from out of the conference. However, there can only be one "best transfer", and to me, that title should belong to Eric Rivers of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Rivers is coming off of a remarkable season with the Florida International Panthers, which seen him haul in 62 catches for 1,172 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. His 1,172 yards were the fourth most of any Group of Five conference player and his 12 touchdowns were the tied for the fifth-most in all conferences.
Rivers will be an immediate producer for a Yellow Jackets team that will be without Eric Singleton Jr, their leading receiver for the past two seasons.
Other ACC programs were able to get highly sought after players like Miami landing Carson Beck, Florida State with Duce Robinson, and Clemson with Will Heldt, but In my opinion, Rivers stands out above the rest of them because of the situation he will be put in.
Yellow Jackets head coach Brent Key is all in on feeding the offense through Haynes King, so that means that Rivers will get plenty of chances to showcase his talents, and his target are sure to go up with the Yellow Jackets, as he will be the primary receiver on the team.
I think that Key being able to pick up Rivers was one of the best transfers in the country, and surely the best of any within the ACC.
