We are now just 96 days away from the start of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 2025 football season, where they will travel to Boulder to take on the Colorado Buffaloes, and with that being said, it is time to take a look at one of the bigger names to come out of the Yellow Jackets program in recent years: Adam Gotsis.
Gotsis played for the Yellow Jackets in all four of his collegiate seasons, becoming a starter his sophomore season and never looking back. Gotsis appeared in every game that the Yellow Jackets played during his tenure with the team.
However, it was his leadership his junior season that would shine the brightest, as he would lead a defensive line unit that was, at times, dominant. Gotsis was the leader of what is still one of the best Yellow Jackets teams in recent history, as they would get their only BCS win in the BCS era, defeating the Mississippi State Bulldogs 49-34 in the Orange Bowl.
Over the course of his career with the Yellow Jackets, Gotsis was named to Second Team All-ACC one time (2014), and recorded 105 tackles for the Yellow Jackets over his four year career. His presence in the opposing team's backfield is something that could be shown in his 11.5 career sacks.
Gotsis would be drafted 63rd overall by the Denver Broncos in the 2016 NFL Draft.
