With the start of college football just over three months away, it is that time of the offseason where every college football analyst on every network starts to put out their “Way too early top 25”, and the latest to do it was FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt, who had some surprises near the top of the rankings, such as putting Penn State as the top team in the country, but I want to focus at a team that was not featured at all in the Top 25 that should have been: the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

The Yellow Jackets should come into the season as one of the top teams in the ACC with the amount of production returning to the team and an offense that looked unstoppable against even the best competition, like the Georgia Bulldogs, at times last season.

The defense for the Yellow Jackets returns their leader leader from last season in Kyle Efford, and new defensive coordinator Blake Gideon, along with a mixture of returning players and incoming transfers in the secondary, seem to make a huge leap in one of the few areas that the Yellow Jackets needed help in coming into this season.

There is a lot to look forward to with a lot of the 20-25 teams that Klatt has in his top 25, but I do think that the Yellow Jackets more than proved themselves at the end of last season and what they did in the offseason to garner one of those spots on the list
