With the NFL Draft being today, some teams have begun the tradition of letting former players come to the podium to announce their day two or later draft picks, and this year will be no different, as the Atlanta Falcons have announced that former Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets linebacker and longtime Falcon Keith Brooking will be the one that will announce the teams second round pick, and possibly the third round pick if they make a trade to acquire one.

Brooking played for the Yellow Jackets from 1994-1997, where he submitted himself as one of the best linebackers in Yellow Jackets history. Brooking still has the all-time record for career tackles in Yellow Jackets history with 467, including a 20 tackle performance in the Yellow Jackets 24-3 loss to the Clemson Tigers.

Brooking would be named ALL-ACC three of his four years with the Yellow Jackets and is remembered as one of the best players to ever play at the program by many fans.

The Atlanta Falcons would select the former Yellow Jacket with the 12th overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft, where he would play for the team until 2008. Brooking is one of just nine players in Yellow Jackets history to be selected in the first round of the NFL Draft.

Brooking would make five Pro Bowls and be named to the Second Team All-Pro team twice in his career, along with leading the NFL in tackles in 2003.

Brooking will forever be one of the greatest players in the Yellow Jackets history.
