From the minute that the game tipped off yesterday, the Northwestern Wildcats had the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets number, as the Yellow Jackets would fall to the Wildcats 71-60.

The Yellow Jackets would have troubles from the start of the contest, as they would quickly find themselves down 11-0, not scoring a single point until over six minutes into the game. From there, the Yellow Jackets would attempt to battle back, and it looked like they could put up a fight in the first half, at one point making it a one possession game just before heading into the locker room at halftime. However, the Wildcats would prove to be too much for the Yellow Jackets to handle, as a quick start to the second half would have them up as much as 15 points in the second half.

In total, only three Yellow Jackets would score in double digits, with Lance Terry leading the way for the Yellow Jackets with 17 points. Terry would attempt 16 shots, which was twice as much as anyone else on the team. Ryan Mutombo and Jaeden Mustaf would be the other two Yellow Jackets to score in double figures.

One bright spot for the Yellow Jackets in the game was their ability to rebound, as they out rebounded the Wildcats 42-36. In the end, the Wildcats perimeter shooting would get in the way of the Yellow Jackets comeback attempt, as they shot 40% from beyond the arc in the game.

The Yellow Jackets will be back in action again on Wednesday night, as they host UMBC at 7:30pm Eastern time.
