The offseason for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets basketball team has been one that Yellow Jackets fans will want to forget, as the team looked like the could not catch a break, between players transferring out and striking out in the transfer portal on multiple prospects, the team now has their full roster for the 2025 season, and it will definitely be an interesting one.
For starters, the team will be without three of their four major contributors from last season, with Naithan George, Duncan Powell, and Lance Terry all no longer on the team. This set up what would not be a favorable offseason for the Yellow Jackets, to say the least, but they did return one of their top contributors in forward Baye Ndongo.
In the offseason, the Yellow Jackets relied on the transfer portal to bring in prominent and established talent, however the players that they did bring in, were nothing to really write home about. The two biggest additions come in the form of guard Lamar Washington, who comes from Pacific, and guard Kam Craft, who comes from Miami (OH).
Perhaps the two biggest breaks that the Yellow Jackets had in the offseason was the signing of the No.2 rated center in the 2025 recruiting class, Mouhamed Sylla, and guard Kowacie Reeves Jr being granted another year of eligibility after only seeing playing time in six games for the Yellow Jackets last season.
The roster for the Yellow Jackets goes like this:
Baye Ndongo
Kam Craft
Lamar Washington
Jaeden Mustaf
Kowacie Reeves Jr.
Peyton Marshall
Mouhamed Sylla
Akai Fleming
Dylan Thompson
Brandon Stores Jr.
Davi Remagen
Chas Kelley
Cole Kirouac
Eric Chatfield Jr.
