While the lineup for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have been their biggest question mark in the middle of a seven game losing streak, which got ended on Sunday in a 7-6 walk off win against the Virginia Cavaliers, it was the pitching staff for the Yellow Jackets that fell off the tracks over the weekend.

It started with Tate McKee, who would get the start on the mound Friday, but his day was cut short after just recording ten outs and allowing five runs , all of them earned, on four hits, and the rest of the bullpen did not help the Yellow Jackets case, as they would give up seven more runs, and allow 12 runs in the loss.

It did not get a lot better in the second game of the series, as Brady Jones would pitch the first 6.1 innings, allowing eight hits and four runs, all of which were earned. Kayden Campbell would come in the game, but would allow two hits without recording an out. Carson Ballard would finish the game, allowing three hits and two runs, both of which were earned.

In the final game of the series, Jaylen Paden would get the start, and he would pitch five innings and allow four runs on three hits. All four runs were earned. Caden Spivey would pitch two innings before Mason Patel came into the game for the final three innings, and would be the best performance by a Yellow Jackets pitcher over the weekend, as he would allow just one hit, not allow a run, and get credit for the only win for the Yellow Jackets over the weekend.
