With the college football season fast approaching, teams are looking back at some of the additions that they had in the fall and spring transfer portal to see how well they did through both of the portals combined, and one position group that the nation should have it's eyes on is the wide receivers for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets this upcoming season.
The Yellow Jackets did have their top receiver from last season, Eric Singleton Jr, transfer out to the Auburn Tigers, but the Yellow Jackets did a great job of adding a plethora of receivers to make sure the position group was still well off for the upcoming season.
Those transfers included a trio of receivers that will undoubtedly make an impression on Yellow Jackets fans this season: Eric Rivers, Dean Patterson, and Debron Gatling. Rivers and Patterson were both with the Florida International Panthers last season, where they combined for over 1,800 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns for the Panthers last season. Gatling did not play last season for the South Carolina Gamecocks, being a redshirt freshman, but showed tremendous upside as a three-star prospect coming into college.
The Yellow Jackets also have their second leading receiver from last season in Malik Rutherford, who compiled 702 yards of production for the Yellow Jackets last season.
The four receiver will make up what I think will be the best receiving core in the ACC next season.
