The 2025 NFL Draft is now over, with every team collectively selected who they think the 257 best players are that have declared for the draft. In total, two Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets players heard their names drafted, tight end Jackson Hawes and defensive lineman Zeek Biggers. One of those players that did not hear their name is former Yellow Jackets safety LaMiles Brooks.

Brooks put together a great collegiate career with the Yellow Jackets, seeing action in 53 games for the Yellow Jackets and started 45 of those games. He had a breakout season in his sophomore year, as he would be selected to the Third Team All-ACC team.

Brooks does have an injury history, but none of the injuries that he has sustained have been major, as he has not missed a significant amount of playing time in any season of his collegiate career. Last season was perhaps his worst with injuries, as he started seven games for the Yellow Jackets, but he still saw action in 12 of the Yellow Jackets 13 games.

Brooks would finish last season with six games that he had at least five tackles, including ending the season on a high note, with at least five tackles in five of the Yellow Jackets las six games.

Brooks can still deliver and be a crucial depth piece for an NFL team I believe. He is much more of an in the box safety than a coverage one, but that can still translate to the NFL level.
