Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets head coach Brent Key wasted little time to get busy in the Spring transfer portal when it opened, as he already has five transfers that will be joining the Yellow Jackets this fall, four of which will be on the defensive side of the ball. Let's take a look at those four incoming transfers.

Savion Riley, Safety, Colorado Buffaloes

Riley was a great pick up for a secondary that was looking for depth, and his experience from playing with the Vanderbilt Commodores in his freshman season shows promise. Riley played in nine games for the buffaloes last season.

Jyron Gilmore, Safety, Georgia State Panthers

Another great secondary piece for the Yellow Jackets is Jyron Gilmore, who has five years of college football experience, four of which came from when he played at Tennessee Tech and accumulated 115 tackles. In his lone season with the Panthers, Gilmore had 53 tackles and two interceptions.

Jon Mitchell, Cornerback, Penn State Nittany Lions

Mitchell played his only season of college football last season for the Nittany Lions, where he would see action in only three games, so he will retain all four years of eligibility. Mitchell was a four star recruit in the recruiting class last year.

Akelo Stone, Defensive Line, Ole Miss

If the name looks familiar to Yellow Jackets fans, it is because Stone played for the Yellow Jackets for 21 games before deciding to transfer to Ole Miss, where he played two seasons. Stone will be an incoming senior.
