The new women's basketball AP top 25 poll has been released, and there was a team that remained stagnant in the polls despite an impressive week: the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

Led by head coach Nell Fortner, the Yellow Jackets are sitting at 14-0 this season, a mark that is the best in program history. It goes even further than that though, as the team is off to the second-best start of any women's basketball team this season, behind only the 15-0 LSU Tigers. Tennessee, UCLA, Maryland, and Ohio State, all remain undefeated but haven't reached 14 wins yet this season.

The Yellow Jackets have beaten three ranked opponents so far this season: then-No.21 ranked Oregon, No.17 ranked North Carolina, and then-No.23 ranked Nebraska.

The Yellow Jackets head into their conference schedule optimistic that they can continue their winning streak, with games against Syracuse, Virginia Tech, and Louisville, before they head to South Bend on Jan. 16 in a matchup against No.3 ranked Notre Dame, a game that will be critical for both teams, as they are currently sitting as the two highest ranked ACC teams in the AP poll.

Ball movement has been key for the Yellow Jackets success, as they sit at the top of the ACC in assists per game this season with 18.9.

The bulk of the Yellow Jackets tough ACC opponents happen in January, which will see the team take on previously mentioned Notre Dame, and they also have a matchup with the team that currently sits in the next spot behind them in the AP poll, the Duke Blue Devils.
