The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have had tons of players come through the basketball program over the years, with future NBA stars such as Chris Bosh, Kenny Anderson, Dennis Scott, and Stephon Marbury. However, that seems to be lost in the current NBA landscape, and it is because the Yellow Jackets have not had a player drafted in the NBA Draft since 2018.

Yes, you read that right, with no Yellow Jackets players selected in the 2025 NBA Draft last night, the team continues its drought, extending it to seven straight years.

The last player to be drafted from the Yellow Jackets was guard Josh Okogie, who was taken as the 20th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, and the only draft selection for the Yellow Jackets in the past 12 seasons.

The only player that entered the 2025 NBA Draft for the Yellow Jackets was former guard Lance Terry, who garnered zero draft buzz heading into the draft, so it seemed imminent that the Yellow Jackets streak would continue heading into the draft.

And it seems that the Yellow Jackets could be heading in that direction for the 2026 draft as well, as the only eligible players will be Kowacie Reeves Jr and Luke O’ Brien, however a wild card could be if forward Baye Ndongo decides to declare for the draft after his senior season.

Yellow Jackets head coach Damon Stoudamire needs to come up with NBA draft prospects, and he needs to do it fast.
