Tonight, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (4-3) will travel to Norman, Oklahoma tonight to take on the No. 21 ranked Oklahoma Sooners (7-0), looking for the teams first ranked win on the basketball court since they knocked off the No. 3 ranked North Carolina Tar Heels on Jan. 30.

The Yellow Jackets will look to prove that the team can win in big moments, as they haven't beat a ranked team this season, losing their only game against a ranked opponent against No. 14 ranked Cincinnati, 81-58, on Nov. 23.

The team is still searching for a player to step up as the leader of the team, as there have been four different Yellow Jackets lead the team in scoring this season: Javian McCollum, Baye Ndongo, Lance Terry, and Nathan George.

For McCollum, the matchup will hold a special place for him, as the senior guard transferred from the Sooners to the Yellow Jackets in the offseason, where he has averaged 27 minutes played per game. He is averaging 13 points per game to go along with averaging 3 assists and rebounds per game. McCollum put up similar numbers last season with the Sooners, leading the team in points per game.

The big matchup to watch between the two teams will be how the Yellow Jackets will compete on the perimeter and beyond the arc against the Sooners, who as a team, offensively, are shooting 37.5% from beyond the arc, while the defense is allowing just 26.5% of their opponents shots to fall from three-point range.
