With the 2025 NFL Draft now behind us, teams are moving to looking for some of the undrafted prospects to see if they can find a diamond in the rough or maybe just add some depth to a position that either is weak or has an injury prone player that is already starting. One of those players is former Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets receiver Chase Lane, who signed a contract with the New York Giants after not being selected in the NFL draft.

The Giants presumably got Lane to add depth to their receiving core, which has Malik Nabers, Wan'Dale Robinson, and Darius Slayton all in it. In a crowded receiving room, Lane could find himself near the bottom of the depth chart for the position. But that does not mean that he will just accept that, as he will take the opportunity and make the most of it.

Lane most likely will not see much playing time this season, but if he can make it through training camp, I think that it sends a message to GMs for players that they might want to pick up in the future.

Lane had his best collegiate season last year with the Yellow Jackets, as he would catch 23 passes for 271 yards and tie for the team lead in touchdown receptions with Eric Singleton Jr and Malik Rutherford with three a piece.

Lane has the opportunity to prove that he can make it in the NFL, and he has a chance to do it in one of the biggest markets in the entire country.
