With the women's college basketball season now over, it is time to look forward to next season, and with the portal being wide open right now, teams are looking to add players in that could produce for them significantly. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and newly named head coach Karen Blair got just that in forward Jada Crawshaw.
Crawshaw comes to the Yellow Jackets having played her first two seasons with the Long Beach State Beach, where she was one of just two players to average ten points per game last season. Crawshaw seen a significant jump in playing time last season, as her minutes jumped from 18 minutes per game in her freshman season to 21 minutes in her sophomore season.
The pickup could be a big one for Blair, as the Yellow Jackets have a lot of question marks on the roster right now, with the departures of Zoesha Smith and Kayla Blackshear, the team was left with two big holes to fill in the starting lineup: both forward positions, with no real contender for one of the starting spots on the roster yet.
At 6', Crawshaw can be an effective rebounder for the Yellow Jackets next season, something that the team desperately needs. Crawshaw averaged 4.8 rebounds per game last season.
This will be one of many transfers that Blair will need to bring in in the offseason if she does not want the team to nose dive in a downhill spiral, trying to keep productive players on the team.
