When it was announced that former Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets guard Lance Terry would be able to continue his basketball career by signing a Summer League deal with the Orlando Magic last week, I was ecstatic at the opportunity for Terry. However, that quickly turned, as the rookie did not manage to log a single minute.

Terry rode the bench while the team elected for a guard rotation that included Ethan Thompson, Tristan de Silva, Alondes Williams Wendell Moore Jr, and Jace Richardson.

The Magic will play at least five games over the course of the Summer League, and Terry will want to see a action when he can, that way the former Yellow Jackets guard can try to secure a spot with the team's G-League team affiliate, the Osceola Magic, for their season.

It is far fetched to think Terry will make a roster spot for the Magic, but still not technically out of the question for him to make the G-League team.

But first and foremost, Terry must find a spot in the rotation for the team, as he is currently buried on the buried on the bench, without a chance to truly prove himself on the court to compete for a G League spot.

Terry played two seasons with the Yellow Jackets during his college career, appearing in 50 games and averaging 12.3 points per game, becoming one of the catalysts for a team that was looking for a scoring option over the past two seasons.
