EA Sports put out an announcement over the weekend that could shake up the way that players will play the upcoming College Football 26 video game, saying that schools can now get paid royalties based on playing time that the team has in the game. This means that the more gamers play with a certain school, the more money in royalties will be payed to the school. So what does this news mean to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets?

This news leads to a very opportunistic situation for the Yellow Jackets. Gamers that play college football games love a team that has a mobile quarterback, and guess who has perhaps the best mobile quarterback in the nation heading into next season? The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, in Haynes King.

Gamers also tend to play with teams that are viewed as up and coming teams that are destined for breakout seasons, and guess which team has been labeled a dark horse to win the ACC in the offseason? The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

These are two reasons why we could see a huge jump in players that are playing with the Yellow Jackets on College Football 26, and why the team will be one of the most popular to build a program with in the game's franchise mode.

College Football 26 launches on July 10.
