The No. 12 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are still unbeaten.
After a sluggish start on offense, Georgia Tech found its rhythm in the second half to pull away for a win over Duke on Saturday. The game was tied 7–7 at halftime, but the Yellow Jackets once again showed why they are one of college football's best second-half teams.
Georgia Tech’s defense set the tone early. The unit made several key stops, giving the offense time to find its footing. When the opportunities came, the Yellow Jackets capitalized.
With just over two minutes left in the fourth quarter, quarterback Haynes King broke loose for a touchdown run that sealed the game. His score put Georgia Tech ahead 27–10 and capped off another strong closing performance. Winning 27-18, and possibly breaking into the top 10.
The win moved Georgia Tech to 7–0 on the season and kept them in first place in the ACC. It also handed Duke its first conference loss of the year. The only other unbeaten team in ACC play is Virginia, which hosts Washington State on Saturday night.

Next up, the Yellow Jackets return home to face Syracuse next Saturday at noon inside Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field.
The victory marks Georgia Tech’s best start since 1966. When the Yellow Jackets finished the season undefeated and claimed a national championship.
For head coach Brent Key, it’s another statement win. And proof that Georgia Tech is once again a serious contender in the ACC race.
