No. 14 Georgia Tech (8-1) heads to Chestnut Hill as a heavy favorite, expected to win by more than two touchdowns against struggling Boston College (1-9).

The Eagles were routed 45-13 at home last week by SMU, and this is a matchup the Yellow Jackets should control from start to finish. After being exposed defensively in their 48-36 loss at NC State before the bye week, Georgia Tech’s defense needs to deliver a statement performance.

The Jackets enter this one rested and re-focused after their week off, determined to close the season strong. Their response to the NC State loss will say a lot about their resilience and championship mindset. With the latest College Football Playoff rankings still showing faith in Georgia Tech, expect them to come out sharp and play with purpose.

Offensively, the Yellow Jackets should have no trouble lighting up the scoreboard — 30-plus points feels like a lock, and 40 isn’t out of reach. Defensively, they’ll need to set the tone early and play with physicality on every snap. There’s no room for a flat effort against a one-win BC squad.

Despite last week’s setback, Georgia Tech remains in complete control of its path to the 2025 ACC Championship Game in Charlotte. Victories in its final two conference contests — at Boston College and at home against No. 23 Pitt on Nov. 22 — would send the Jackets to their first title game since 2014.

Georgia Tech’s 8-1 record marks one of the 15 best starts in the program’s 133-year history and its best since 2009.

The Jackets feature one of college football’s most balanced and explosive offenses, ranking top-20 nationally in total offense (9th, 482.1 ypg), rushing (13th, 221.0 ypg), passing efficiency (14th, 162.18), and scoring (19th, 36.0 ppg). They join Indiana, Oregon, and UNLV as the only teams in the top 20 in all four categories.
