No.17 Georgia Tech dominates Boston College 71-51

In what was a match up of teams trending in different directions, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets women's basketball team would travel to Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts to take on the Boston College Eagles last night.

The Yellow Jackets came into the game winning four of their last five, while the Eagles had lost four of their last five. The Yellow Jackets would make it five of their last six, as they would dominate from the tip off, resulting in a 71-51 win for the Yellow Jackets.

The Yellow Jackets would jump out to an 11-2 lead on the Eagles, and would not look back for the rest of the contest, never trailing in the game. Yellow Jacket forward Kara Dunn would make her presence known early as she would score 15 points in the first half. Dunn would finish with 23 points, the most of any Yellow Jacket in the contest. She would also grab five rebounds.

At halftime, the Yellow Jackets would hold a 36-15 lead over the Eagles. From there, the Eagles would not trail by less than 15 points in the second half, and the Yellow Jackets would lead by as much as 28 points in the third quarter.

Yellow Jackets forward Zoesha Smith would put up a double double, scoring 16 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Junior guard Tonie Morgan would be the only other Yellow Jacket to score in double figures, as she scored 13.

The Yellow Jackets will be back in action Thursday as they travel to Clemson, South Carolina to take on the Clemson Tigers.
