If you are anything like me, you headed into the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets White and Gold spring game thinking that the incoming transfers could steal the show, and some of them have some remarkable performances, but there was one name that I was ready to see take the field for the team, and he just never did see any action: Malachi Hosley.

The running back that transferred to the Yellow Jackets this offseason was one of my favorite new additions to the team. Hosley was coming off a solid career with the Penn Quakers, in which he rushed for 1,192 yards and nine touchdowns. The performance last season caught the eyes of fans across the nation, as he was voted the 2024 Ivy League Player of the Year last season.

However, Malachi did not touch the field for the Yellow Jackets in the spring game, as he was on the sideline for all of it.

I was really looking forward to seeing what he could provide to the offense, as he could provide the Yellow Jackets with something that they have not had in a long time: a running back that can barrel over defenders.

While the Yellow Jackets running game did find success throughout the game using mainly Tre Maddox and JP Powell, it would have been nice to see Hosley get at least five rushing attempts to give the fans something to look forward to with him. Maybe the coaching staff did not want to risk injury, but I still think that they could have let him see some playing time.
