With the Spring transfer portal now in full swing, teams are looking at positions that they could use some extra depth in, and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets head coach Brent Key is no different, as he has already got depth pieces within the secondary, but there are still some positions that Key and the Yellow Jackets could look at. One of the positions is offensive line and here are three players that could be a possibility for the Yellow Jackets.
1. JB Nelson, G Penn State
A former four-star interior offensive lineman recruit, Nelson transferred to the Penn State Nittany Lions in his second collegiate season, where he has spent the last three seasons. In those three seasons, Nelson has started eight games for the Nittany Lions two season ago and appeared in all 16 of the team's games last season
2. Malachi Carney, OT South Alabama
Coming out of South Alabama, Carney got the opportunity to see the field a significant amount of time in his three seasons with the Jaguars. Carney started all 13 games for the Jaguars last season, and the season before that, he appeared in all 13 of the Jaguars game that season. So having the experience here will be a good fit for an offensive line that is rather young.
3. Larry Johnson III, OT Tennessee
Johnson did not see the field much during his two years with the Tennessee Volunteers, but what could come into play here is that he has experience playing in the best conference in all of college football last season in the ACC. Johnson could transfer to the Yellow Jackets as a player that will see increased playing time over what he was getting with the Volunteers.
