The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 2025 basketball season may still be five months away, but with the roster being finalized, we can now look and see who will be the prominent players on the team next season. Who will the Yellow Jackets put as their starting five for the season? Let's take a look.
1. Lamar Washington, G
We will go from the top of the lineup to the bottom as the one through five positions, so first up is the point guard, who I think will be Lamar Washington. Washington averaged 5.8 assists last season, and I think is a no-brainer to start for the Yellow Jackets in 2025.
2. Kam Craft, G
Craft comes from Miami (OH), where he was able to prove himself as a spot-up three-point shooter and someone that can reliably score with the ball in his hands, having a skillset that no one else on the team seems to have.
3. Kowacie Reeves Jr, G
The Yellow Jackets will continue their "three guard" lineup from last season, however it will be Kowacie Reeves Jr that takes the spot left open by Lance Terry, and while Reeves is not the scorer that Terry was last season, he may be the best defender on the court and has the most versatility on the defensive side of the ball.
4. Baye Ndongo, F
The easiest spot to determine on the list was Ndongo's, as he will be by far the best player heading into the season on the roster. The bigger question was if the Yellow Jackets would play him as a power forward or center, and I have him as a power forward because of who I will have projected as the center.
5. Mouhamed Sylla, C
Sylla has been one of the most highly-touted recruits to come to the Yellow Jackets in recent memory, and not starting him from the beginning would be detrimental to his chances of staying on the team after this season.
