Georgia Tech enters the weekend in a strong spot. The No. 8 Yellow Jackets are 8-0 and sit at the top of the ACC standings. Three conference games remain. If Georgia Tech wins all three, they will finish ACC play unbeaten. That would secure a spot in the ACC Championship Game. With a chance to secure a spot in the 12 team college football playoff.

The first step comes tonight in Raleigh, North Carolina. Georgia Tech will face the 4-4 NC State Wolfpack at 7:30 PM. This is a road game that could test the Jackets early. NC State has a loud night crowd and will treat this as a chance to spoil Georgia Tech’s perfect run. The Jackets will need a fast start and strong focus after last week’s close win over NC State, where key plays late made the difference. (Reference your story from yesterday here if desired.)

Next week, Georgia Tech will travel again, this time to Boston College. The Eagles are 1-7, but no ACC road game can be taken lightly. Boston College has pulled off surprise wins before, and the Jackets must avoid a trap-game mindset with so much on the line.

The Final ACC Test

The toughest of the final three ACC matchups may be the last one. Georgia Tech returns home to face 6-2 Pittsburgh. The Panthers are physical, well-coached, and still fighting for bowl position. If the Jackets stay unbeaten going into that game, it could feel like a playoff preview.

The path is clear. Three games. Three wins. An undefeated ACC season is within reach. Tonight, the journey continues. Haynes King and crew finish the season home against the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs

Tonight is an opportunity to keep the magical run going. A win tonight would improve the Yellow Jackets to 9-0.
