Today, the No.21 Louisville Cardinals will travel to Atlanta to take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, in a game that the Yellow Jackets will need to win if they have any postseason aspirations, as they currently sit in 15th place out of a possible 18 teams, which would make them the last team that would make the tournament if it started today.
The Yellow Jackets head into the game 9-12, trying to keep the season afloat, but the numbers are not in the Yellow Jackets favor heading into the contest, as they are 0-4 against ranked teams this season.
The Cardinals head into the game with one of the best offensive weapons in the conference in guard Chucky Hepburn, who leads the team in points per game with 15, and leads the ACC in assists per game with 6.4.
On the other side of the court is the player that sits in second place in assists per game in the ACC, Naithan George, who is averaging 6.2. Lance Terry leads the Yellow Jackets in points per game, averaging 15.4.
The two teams are soaring in opposite directions in terms of how they are playing as of late, with the Yellow Jackets losing four of their last five games with their only win coming in a 71-64 defeat over the Virginia Tech Hokies on Jan. 22, while the Cardinals have reeled off ten straight wins since losing 93-85 to the Kentucky Wildcats on Dec. 14.
The contest is set to tip off at 3:45pm Eastern time today.
