The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets women's basketball team is set to host the Syracuse Orange at 7pm Eastern time today, looking to extend their record to 15-0.
The current 14-0 start by the Yellow Jackets is by far the best one in school history, and has them ranked at No.13 in the latest women's college basketball AP poll, while the Orange currently sit at 6-6 and will be looking for their first ACC conference win, losing their lone ACC matchup with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 93-62.
The Yellow Jackets come into the game third in the ACC in point differential per game, outscoring their opponents by an average margin of 26.7 points per game, and are currently favored by 14.5 against the Orange.
If the Orange do stand a chance to beat the Yellow Jackets, they will need their bench to produce and players to step up, as the team has just two players averaging ten points per game, senior guard Georgia Woolley and senior forward Kyra Wood. The Yellow Jackets on the other hand have shown strength in that area, with at least four players from the team scoring in double-digits in the team's last six games.
Yellow Jackets freshman guard Dani Carnegie will look to continue her recent success, as she has put up at least 20 points in three of the team's last four games, while senior forward Kara Dunn is coming off of a season-high 28 points in the team's last outing against the Pittsburgh Panthers.
