With the college baseball season quickly approaching the midway point, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have looked impressive this season, boasting a 22-6 record so far, and they are starting to establish themselves as a legit team, and that can be no more evident than by looking at the ACC conference standings.

The Yellow Jackets currently sit at third in the conference, sitting behind the Florida State Seminoles and the Clemson Tigers.

The Yellow Jackets are coming off of a weekend series against the Tigers, which seen the Yellow Jackets drop two of the three games in the series, but they outscored the Tigers 28-15 over the course of the series.

The Yellow Jackets have an 8-4 ACC record this season, with the other two losses coming in a weekend series against the Virginia Tech Hokies and a loss in a weekend series against the Pittsburgh Panthers.

This season, the Yellow Jackets had not lost a series until the two losses to Clemson over the weekend.

Rounding out the top six in the conference standings are Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, and Duke. The Yellow Jackets won a series against the Hokies earlier this season, winning two of three, and the Yellow Jackets will close the season with a series against Duke.

It is no understatement when I say that the Yellow Jackets are a top team in the ACC, and with the youth on the team, it could be for a long time, setting up whoever takes over for legendary coach Danny Hall for success next season.
