The Yellow Jackets enter the weekend riding high after a 27–18 win over Duke. That victory moved Georgia Tech to 7–0 and into first place in the ACC. With the win, they also jumped from No. 12 to No. 7 in the national rankings.
Meanwhile, the Syracuse Orange come in struggling. They’ve lost three straight games and face their toughest test yet against an unbeaten Georgia Tech team. The Orange will need to find some spark on offense if they want to pull off the upset.
Georgia Tech quarterback Haynes King continues to lead the charge both through the air and on the ground. This season, he’s totaled 1,176 passing yards, 560 rushing yards, and 14 touchdowns. His dual-threat ability has been key to the Jackets’ perfect start.
For Syracuse, Rickie Collins will be under center again after starter Steve Angeli suffered a season ending injury. Since Angeli's injury, the Orange haven’t scored more than 20 points in a game. Collins has thrown for 733 yards, five touchdowns, and eight interceptions across four-plus games.
Saturday’s game begins the final five-game stretch of the regular season. Georgia Tech isn’t just chasing an 8–0 record. They’re also looking for revenge after last year’s loss to Syracuse.
