The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have been making a huge amount of buzz this offseason, with key transfer additions, adding their second five-star recruit in program history, and returning a ton of production from the best Yellow Jackets team in almost a decade last season. You take all that into consideration, and you get a team destined for a breakout season in 2025. But which position group will be the most important to maintain that success from last season?

It would be easy to try and say that quarterback and running back would be the most important positions to do well this season, but for me, success happens in the frontline of the offense, and that comes from the offensive line group.

The Yellow Jackets offensive line did a masterclass job last season, and they only lost two major contributors from it: Jordan Williams and Corey Robinson II. The biggest returner from the 2025 season is guard Keylan Rutledge, who earned All-ACC First Team honors, and Joe Fusile, while they bring in only the second five-star player in program history in tackle Josh Petty, and return Jordan Floyd.

The offensive line for the Yellow Jackets only gave up nine sacks last season, the third-lowest in the entire country, and it did not stop there, as the running game for the Yellow Jackets averaged 187 yards per game last season, the second most in the entire ACC.

There will be a lot of areas that the Yellow Jackets will need to do great to have a successful 2025 season, but to me, that starts with the offensive line unit.
