The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Clemson Tigers will meet each other for the fourth time this season on Saturday in the semifinals of the ACC Tournament, and with the results from earlier this season, there is no way to know how it will turn out for the teams. However, fans will for sure see the two best outfielders in the entire ACC go at it once again, as Yellow Jackets outfielder Drew Burress will meet Tigers outfielder Cam Cannarella. So the question remains: who has had the better season of the two?

Both players entered the season as Preseason All-Americans, so it seemed that the two were binded together before the season even began, and the two did not disappoint this season. Burress followed up his record breaking freshman season by leading all ACC hitters in doubles this season, while maintaining a .346 batting average on top of leading the Yellow Jackets in home runs this season with 18.

On the other side, Cannarella has also looked like the best player in the conference at times, leading the Tigers in batting average this season, sitting at .348. Cannarella also is one of only five players in the ACC with 20 or more doubles, joining Burress.

However, I think that the thing that separates these two players is the deep ball ability by Burress. Cannarella only hit two home runs this season, and Burress launched a previously-mentioned 18. I would give the edge to Burress at this moment, because the Yellow Jackets have the better lineup, and Burress is without a doubt their best hitter on the team. This does not take anything away from Cannarella's season though, as he is still having a great season with the Tigers.
