2018 shooting guard Jared Butler is the newest recruit to receive an offer from Georgia Tech.

Riverside Academy (Reserve, LA) guard Jared Butler has received an offer from Georgia Tech according to his twitter account. Butler is considered a shooting guard by 247Sports but also plays point guard.

Butler, an unranked recruit now holds six scholarship offers with Alabama, Houston, Massachusetts, Texas, and Wichita State being the first five. Butler over the last few days has seen his recruitment absolutely skyrocket and it should not be stopping anytime soon.

More from Basketball

Since the start of May, Butler has received offers from Texas, Wichita State, and Alabama. Butler becomes the eleventh scholarship offer that the Yellow Jackets have sent out to a shooting guard.

In the upcoming months, Butler should be seeing his ranking come out on the recruiting services. If his meteoric wise continues, it should be expected to be at least a three-star prospect if not a four-star prospect.

According to a 247Sports’s article following his offer from Texas, Butler averaged 16.8 points, 5.3 assists as well as two assists over four games in a Nike EYBL Tournament in Indianapolis last month.

 Update on M.J Walker:

Of course, the most important shooting guard for Georgia Tech right now would be 2017 five-star M.J Walker. Walker, is currently down to what appears to be five schools with Virginia Tech leading the pack, that being said, he is expected to make a trip to UCLA before deciding.
