Georgia Tech Basketball Recruiting: Jackets make top-three for G Xavier Johnson

Three-star combo guard Xavier Johnson released his top three which includes the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

Combo guard Xavier Jonson released has narrowed his list of schools down to three programs. The Arlington, Virginia native who holds 12 offers is down to Georgetown, Georgia Tech, and Nebraska. Johnson is rated as the 400th best player in the country according to 247Sports and the 16th ranked combo guard in the nation. Johnson has at least two official visits set for the future according to his 247Sports profile.

Johnson has at least two official visits set for the future according to his 247Sports profile. On Friday, Johnson will be traveling to Lincoln, Nebraska to visit the Cornhuskers and head coach Tim Miles.

A week from Friday, Johnson will be making the trip down to Atlanta and visiting Tech. Various recruits have raved about their visits to Tech which could be good news for the Jackets in their pursuit of Johnson.

Earlier this summer, Johnson made the trip out to Seattle to visit the University of Washington but has since eliminated the Huskies from contention. The only school he has yet to visit is Georgetown though being the closest school to Johnson, a trip to Georgetown can be scheduled at any time.

Currently, the Yellow Jackets have one commitment in the 2018 recruiting class, that being Texas strong forward Kristian Sjolund, the 233rd best player in the nation. That being said, Josh Pastner and his staff are in on several high profile targets including five-star Nassir Little.
