The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets hosted the Stanford Cardinal last night, in what many people thought would be a game that the Cardinal would run away with, given that the team was in sixth place in the ACC standings heading into the contest, but the Yellow Jackets had other plans, picking up a crucial 60-52 win.

With the Yellow Jackets needing conference wins where they can get them, a win against the Cardinal last night was one that not many people expected, but that has been the theme of the team lately, as the team has been an underdog in three of their last four games, and they have won all three.

A big part of the win for the Yellow Jackets came from two players: Naithan George and Baye Ndongo.

Ndongo would put up his third double double in four games, as the sophomore forward would score 15 points and grab a season-high 16 rebounds. Ndongo's presence inside the paint would be something that the Cardinal just could not contain, as he went 6-16 from the field and made all three free throws that he attempted in the contest.

George would score 22 points in the contest, something that the sophomore guard has made a habit of lately, as he has scored at least 20 points in four of the Yellow Jackets last five games. George also had seven rebounds and five assists in the contest.

The Yellow Jackets will be back in action Saturday, as they host the California Bears at 4pm Eastern time.
