With the 2025 recruiting cycle in full swing now that the regular season is over, Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket head coach Brent Key has shown with this recruiting class that he isn’t afraid to swing for the fences, but it’s the positions that Key is targeting that tells the story.

This recruiting cycle seems to be taking a direct approach to adding strength to the offensive and defensive lines, the trenches as we say. Of the 24 recruits that are committed to the Yellow Jackets in the recruiting class, nine will be playing in the trenches, including the lone 5-star recruit from the class, offensive tackle Josh Petty.

It’s been a full rebuild since Key took over in the middle of the 2022 season, revamping the roster in every way. With bringing in playmakers in both the transfer portal and recruiting classes the last two offseason, such as Haynes King, Jamal Haynes, and Eric Singleton Jr, Key I would assume feels confident enough that he has the playmakers at skill positions, so now it was time to build up the linemen on both sides of the ball.

Linemen in the class are as followed:

5-star Josh Perry, OT

4-star Christian Garrett, DL

4-star Peyton Joseph, IOL

4-star Damola Ajidahun, OT

3-star Derry Norris, DL

3-star Kevin Peay, IOL

3-star Blake Belin, DL

3-star Xavier Canales, OT

3-star Jimmy Bryson, IOL

Georgia Tech currently sits as the No.17 ranked overall recruiting class for 2025, according to 24/7 Sports.
