If there was a single player that embodied what the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets women's basketball team did this past season, it would be Dani Carnegie.

Carnegie, in her freshman season, became a fan favorite early, as she would start the season red hot in every aspect on the court. She would score at least ten points in 11 of the Yellow Jackets 12 games to start the season, and led the Yellow Jackets to a 15-0 start to the season. While doing all this, Carnegie made herself a big name in the ACC, as she, at one point this season, won four ACC Freshman of the Week awards in five weeks.

But then, the Yellow Jackets and Carnegie's season would take a massive hit. Against the Virginia Tech Hokies, Carnegie would go down with a leg injury in the third quarter. That game would also be the Yellow Jackets first lost of the season.

Carnegie missed four games, then came back and looked to be better than ever, scoring 29 points in her first game back against the Virginia Cavaliers.

After that game, Carnegie and the Yellow Jackets as a whole would struggle to find their footing again, as Carnegie would score ten points in just six of the Yellow Jackets last 12 games. During that stretch, the Yellow Jackets would lose six of those twelve games to end the season.

Maybe Carnegie has a breakout sophomore season and the Yellow Jackets follow the trend of performing like Carnegie next season..
