At what seemed like the very last minute until his announcement, four-star offensive lineman Damola Ajidahun flipped his commitment from the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets to the South Carolina Gamecocks.

The flip comes as a surprise to Georgia Tech fans, as he verbally committed to the Yellow Jackets on Aug. 3, but as we all know, signing day can sometimes bring out big surprises.

Losing the commitment was a huge letdown, as Key has been laser focused on bringing in offensive linemen in this recruitment cycle. Although it isn't a huge blow to the team, it is something that is worth noting, as other recruits may follow suit after, including five-star offensive tackle recruit Josh Petty, who also verbally committed to the Yellow Jackets in August.

Ajidahun is ranked as the No. 20 ranked offensive tackle in the 2025 recruiting class, and No. 223 prospect overall, according to Rivals250.

Ajidahun stands at 6'6 290 pounds coming from Duluth, Georgia, being recruited by both Georgia and Georgia Tech, and choosing to play out-of-state. Ajidahun had been touted for his frame and athletic ability before announcing his commitment yesterday.

Ajidahun also had offers from a slew of other teams, but some notable ones were Ohio State, Ole Miss, Florida, Miami, Tennessee, and Kentucky.
