The ACC has been periodically releasing football team schedules since yesterday, and while there was not much news for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets yesterday when the conference started releasing schedules, the Yellow Jackets found out when a major game on their schedule will take place: the team 's game against the Clemson Tigers. The Yellow Jackets will host the Tigers on Sept. 13.

The two teams had a rivalry before the scheduling format changed last season, as they played each other for 41 consecutive years, but the two teams didn't meet last season.

The Tigers have dominated the series as of late, as they have won 12 of the last 14, including nine straight wins but the Tigers. Only one meeting in the nine-year winning streak has been decided by less that 19 points, a 14-8 win in their 2021 meeting in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The game will serve as the Yellow Jackets ACC opener at Bobby Dodd Stadium, where head coach Brent Key has won one of two since becoming the head coach for the team, beating the Duke Blue Devils 24-14 last season, and dropping the first true home game at Bobby Dodd Stadium to the Boston College Eagles 38-23 in 2023.

It will be the 90th meeting between the two teams, with the Yellow Jackets leading the all-time series 50-36-2.

The ACC is set to release the rest of the conference schedules for teams on Jan. 27, with a live release being held on ACC Huddle from 9pm-11pm Easte
