As much as everything around the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football program has changed in the last three years that included coaching changes and an overall rebuild of the roster, one thing has stayed consistent: the guy snapping the ball on offense. That will change next season, as Yellow Jackets center Weston Franklin announced that he has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.

For the past three seasons, Franklin has remained true to his commitment to the team four years ago when he decided to come to the Flats for his college career. In those three season, Franklin has been the most consistent player on the roster, starting all 38 games for the team, and anchoring down the interior part of the offensive line.

Last season, Franklin was the Yellow Jackets second-best rated pass blocker and run blocker according to Pro Football Focus. That season, the Yellow Jackets rushed for an average of 203.8 yards per game, which led the ACC, and allowed just 1.15 sacks per game, which also led the ACC.

This season, Franklin started all 13 games for the Yellow Jackets, on an offensive line that didn't allow a sack through the team's first six games of the season. In the offseason, Franklin was recognized for his stellar season with the Yellow Jackets, as he was one of ten Yellow Jackets to be named to the All-ACC teams, getting the nod as an honorable mention.

Franklin stands at 6'4" and weighs 310 pounds, so his size should be something that NFL scouts take into account when viewing him as a prospect. Franklin is the eighth-highest rated center in the 2025 draft, according to DraftTek.com.
