With the regular season winding down for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, wins now mean more than ever this season, and the Yellow Jackets travelled to Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts hoping for one of those wins against the struggling Boston College Eagles. However, the Yellow Jackets would be stopped in their tracks as the Eagles would get a 69-54 win.
The Yellow Jackets offense would begin the game slow, scoring only 27 first half points against the Eagles. However, it was the Yellow Jackets defense that kept them in the game, as they only allowed the Eagles to score 32 points in the first half.
The second half started with the Yellow Jackets going over six minutes into the second half before getting their first basket, with the Eagles able to build up a 42-27 lead to take command of the game.
From there, the Yellow Jackets would not get back within six points the rest of the way as the Eagles would cruise to a victory.
Baye Ndongo would have a masterful performance in the post, as he would put up his third straight game with a double double. The sophomore would lead the team in points with 17, while also leading the team in rebounds with 15. Ndongo would also tie his season-high in assists with four and add two blocks.
The only other Yellow Jackets player to score in double digits was Lance Terry, who scored 15 points.
The Yellow Jackets will be back in action Tuesday as they take on the Pittsburgh Panthers.
