When the ACC released their First, Second, and Third teams, I did not expect much for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, as the team has played more fundamentally sound basketball instead of letting a single player take over a game, but the team did get one player on one of the teams, as Baye Ndongo would make the All-ACC Third team.

If there was a player to earn a spot on any of the teams. the clear cut favorite for anyone watching the Yellow Jackets in the second half of the season would agree that Ndongo finally made that sophomore jump that fans were waiting on, as he would put up seven double doubles in the Yellow Jackets last ten games, including one in the second round of the ACC Tournament, when the Yellow Jackets picked up a 66-60 win over the Virginia Cavaliers.

The accomplishment is something that Yellow Jackets fans should celebrate, as Ndongo is the first Yellow Jackets player selected to one of the three teams since the 2021-22 season, when Michael Devoe was selected to the All-ACC Third team as well.

For Ndongo, the accomplishment should catapult him to one of the top forwards in the ACC heading into next season, with his work on the court being recognized and his contribution for the team progressing as the season wraps up.

Ndongo and the Yellow Jackets were invited to the NIT Tournament, as they will take on Jacksonville State in the first round at McCamish Pavilion tomorrow at 7pm Eastern time.
